The authors consider some nonlinear singularly perturbed integrodifferential systems with fast varying kernels. They assume that the spectrum of the limiting operator lies in the closed left half-plane and they seek a convergent asymptotic series solution in both the resonant and nonresonant cases. After a brief introduction the authors show how the problem may be regularised. This provides a basic algorithm that they can exploit to solve to give a formal series solution. In the final section of the paper it is proved that the partial sums of the formal series derived in this way converge to the exact solution.
