The authors are interested in properties of the elliptic measure of a second order divergence form operator \(L=\text{div}A\nabla\) with bounded measurable coefficients which determine that it belongs to the Muckenhoupt \(A_\infty\) class with respect to the surface measure on the boundary of the domain of solvability. It is established a connection between the absolute continuity of the elliptic measure associated to \(L\) with the solvability of an end-point BMO Dirichlet problem. It is shown that these two notions are equivalent. As a consequence, an end-point perturbation result is obtained, i.e., the solvability of the BMO Dirichlet problem implies \(L^p\) solvability for all \(p > p_{0}\).
