The authors consider a boundary value problem with a small parameter. The problem is generated by a linear system, to which a nonlinearity is added. The nonlinearity is small in an appropriate sense. So, a weakly nonlinear Noetherian boundary value problem for a system of ordinary differential equations with the second-order highest derivative in the critical case is studied. Conditions are given for the existence of a solution. The results are illustrated by an example of a Duffing-type equation.
