We consider the exponential function \(\exp: g\to G\) of a connected Lie group and a regular point \(g\in G\). Let \((g)\) denote the Fitting one- component of \(\text{Ad }g-1\) and \(h(g)\) its fitting null-component. Let \(H(g) = \exp h(g)\) and \(W(g) = \{h \in H(g): xh\) is regular\}. The author proves the following Theorem: There is an open neighborhood \(U(g)\) of 0 in \((g)\) such that the map \(\beta: U(g)\times W(g) \to G\) defined by \(\beta(X,h) = \exp X gh\exp(-X)\) has an open image and induces an isomorphism of analytic manifolds onto its image. This theorem is a refinement of the reviewer's ``Foliation theorem'' in the article referred to in the title and preceding this note in the journal [cf. the preceding review Zbl 0768.22003]. The original theorem only had ``analytic homeomorphism'' where this one has ``isomorphism of analytic manifolds''. Furthermore, the author provides a very direct and self- contained proof of the following result which emerged in the reviewer's article in a more roundabout fashion and which relied on an earlier paper. Proposition: A regular element \(g\) in a connected solvable Lie group is contained in \(H(g)\).
