This paper develops the theory of Kähler differentials on algebroid irreducible plane curves defined over algebraically closed field of positive characteristic. Then the theory is compared with the corresponding theory over characteristic zero, e.g., \(\mathbb{C}\). The emphasis is placed on the study of the properties of the set of values of Kähler differentials. They were an important invariants for the analytic classification of branches as shown in [\textit{A. Hefez} and \textit{M. E. Hernandes}, Bull. Lond. Math. Soc. 43, No. 2, 289--298 (2011; Zbl 1213.14056)]. It is hoped that they will also play an important role in positive characteristic. A counter-example is presented in the positive characteristic case to the result of Zariski in characteristic zero that asserts that if a complex algebroid irreducible plane curve has coincident Tjurina and Milnor numbers, then the curve is equivalent to a monomial curve.
