The authors deal with the problem of robust \(H_\infty\) filtering for a class of nonlinear neutral systems with parameter uncertainties. The class of systems under consideration is described by a linear neutral state-space model with the addition of known state-dependent nonlinearities satisfying the global Lipschitz conditions and appearing in both the state and output equations. The parameter uncertainties are assumed to be time-varying and norm-bounded and appear in all the matrices of the linear part of the system model. The problem is the design of a nonlinear filter such that the filtering error dynamics are robustly stable and the \({\mathcal L}_2\)-induced gain from the noise signals to the estimation error is less than a prescribed level for all admissible uncertainties. In terms of all linear matrix inequalities, a sufficient condition for the solvability of this problem is derived. The desired nonlinear filter can be constructed via a convex optimization problem that can be efficiently implemented using standard numerical algorithms.
