    A mapping \(\mu: {\mathcal D}\to [0,a]\) (\({\mathcal D}\) is a family of \(L\)-fuzzy sets, \(0< a\leq\infty\)) is said to be a \(\sigma\)-possibility measure on \({\mathcal D}\), if \(\mu(\emptyset)= 0\) and \(\mu(\bigcup A_n)= \sup\mu(A_n)\) whenever \(\emptyset\in{\mathcal D}\), \(A_n\in{\mathcal D}\) \((n= 1,2,\dots)\) and \(\bigcup^\infty_{n=1} A_n\in{\mathcal D}\). In the paper some extension theorems are proved for \(\sigma\)-possibility measures.
