Es wird der Satz bewiesen, dass, wenn irgend eine ganze Function \(G(z)\), d. h. eine solche, die in der ganzen Ebene eindeutig und stetig ist, niemals gleich \(a\) wird, kein zweiter, von \(a\) verschiedener Werth \(b\) existirt, den \(G(z)\) nicht annehmen kann. Eine Function \(G(x)\), die weder gleich \(a\) noch gleich \(b\) wird, ist eine Constante.
