Let \(X\) be an \(n\)-dimensional compact connected complex orbifold and \(L\) be a holomorphic line orbifold-bundle over \(X\) with positive first Chern class. The Lie group \(G_X\) whose Lie subalgebra consists of vector fields \(V \in H^0(X, {\mathcal O}(T^{1,0}X))\) such that \(\eta(V) = 0\) for each holomorphic 1-form \(\eta\) on X, decomposes as \(G_X = H_X^C \times U_X\), where \(H_X\) is a compact group. Then there exists an \(H_X\)-invariant Kähler-metric \(g\) such that the corresponding Kähler form \(\omega_g\) represents \(2\pi c_1(L)\). If the Ricci form \(\text{Ric}_g\) is equal to \(\omega_g\), then \(g\) is called an Einstein-Kähler orbifold-metric. \textit{A. Futaki} [Invent. Math. 73, 437-443 (1983; Zbl 0514.53054)] introduced an invariant which gives an obstruction to the existence of Einstein-Kähler orbifold-metrics. In the reviewed paper this invariant is discussed in detail and many references are given. Also there is proved 1) that the Futaki character \(F_X^L\) vanishes on vector fields from \(u_X\), and 2) the periodicity property, i.e., \(\exp(2\pi m V'_g)=\text{Id}_X\), for extremal Kähler vector fields \(V'_g=\text{grad}_g \sigma'_g\), where \(\sigma'_g\) is the image of the sectional curvature \(\sigma_g\) under the \(L^2\)-orthogonal projection onto the space of functions \(\psi\) whose gradient lies in \(h^C_X\) and \(\int \psi (\omega_g)^n = 0\).
