This volume is devoted to asymmetric elastic bodies with six degrees of freedom, as well as to micropolar thermoelasticity. The contents (1. Three-dimensional problems; 2. Axially-symmetric problems; 3. Two-dimensional problems; 4. Hemitropic medium) reflect the variety of problems dealt with. Basic field equations, general methods of integration of partial differential equations, formulation of problems and solutions in particular cases are presented. The author gives solutions of Galerkin, Green-Lamé and Papkovitch-Neuber type, thus obtaining displacements, rotations, asymmetric stresses, and micromoments. Stationary two- and three-dimensional problems are studied, e.g.: half-space problems, half-plane problems, as well as elastodynamic and thermo-elastodynamic problems for infinite space. The monograph is a valuable contribution to the field, very useful for a large number of readers: postgraduate students, mathematicians, physicists, engineers, researchers, etc.
