A Volterra operator equation of general form is considered. The authors prove a few results concerning the local solvability of the mentioned Volterra equation and the continuous dependence of solutions on parameters involved in the equation. Furthermore, conditions guaranteeing the solvability of the Cauchy problem for a differential equation with delayed arguments are established.
