Nonlinear free vibration of a shear deformable laminated composite annular elliptical plate (Q1045881): Difference between revisions

The nonlinear free vibration of a laminated composite annular elliptical plate with elliptically orthotropic piles has been investigated using a new polynomially enriched sector elliptic \(p\)-element. The effects of out-of-plane shear deformations, rotary inertia and geometric nonlinearity have been taken into account. The rapid convergence and high accuracy of new sector elliptic \(p\)-element has been demonstrated through convergence studies and has been compared with the published data. The hardening behaviour has been shown to increase or decrease depending on geometric and lamination parameters as well as boundary conditions.
