    In this paper, the author proves that a bijective map \(\Phi\) from \(\mathcal A\), a standard operator algebra on a Banach space of dimension greater than one, onto a ring that satisfies \[ \Phi (AB+BA)=\Phi (A)\Phi (B)+\Phi (B)\Phi (A)\quad \text{for all }A,\text{ }B\in \mathcal A, \] is additive.
