Based on an earlier work of the same authors, the purpose of this paper is to apply the Duchon-Robert method for the two-dimensional Euler system [\textit{J. Duchon} and \textit{R. Robert}, J. Differ. Equations 73, No. 2, 215--224 (1988; Zbl 0667.35046)], a system of two nonlinear PDE for the fluid velocity (Rayleigh-Taylor problem). The main result of the paper is that for certain values of constants, there exists a solution of the problem [loc. cit.], which converges to zero uniformly as \(t\) goes to infinity for certain values ( for \(0\leq | a|<1.\)). The proofs begin with a linearization of the system and then use the Paley-Wiener theorem and integral principal values. It is also shown that this method can be used to find global analytic solutions for the related Muskat problems.
