The authors construct a universal coboundary element in \(U_q (\text{sl}(n+1))\), i.e., they solve the equation \[ F(x) = \Delta(M(x)) J M_2 (x)^{-1} (M_1 (x q^{h_2})) ^{-1} \] where \(F(x)\) is the standard solution of the dynamical cocycle equation in \(U_q (\text{sl}(n+1))^{\otimes 2}\) and \(J\) is the universal twist associated to the shift. They also study the properties of the solutions of the quantum dynamical coboundary equation.
