This paper addresses the presentation problem for p-groups of a type constructed by \textit{S. Sidki} and the author in recent work: see the basic paper [Contemp. Math. 33, 232-246 (1984; reviewed below)]. An explicit construction, free of tree automorphisms, is given for a 2- generated infinite p-group (p an odd prime) and it is proved that the group is recursively but not finitely presentable. Brief mention is also made of the case \(p=2\). The reviewer would have appreciated a little more detail on the links with the previous work.
