This paper deals with the dynamics of wave movement for stratified fluids, i.e. fluids, whose characteristics change (in a stationary state) only in a certain direction. The author considers boundary value problems with a parameter \(\lambda\) for partial differential equations of second order with variable coefficients both in the equation and in the boundary condition; \(\lambda\) varies in a parabolic region and appears polynomially. In particular he proves coercive estimates with a defect for the solution of the problem.
