Interaction energy between vortices of vector fields on Riemannian surfaces (Q2627843): Difference between revisions

This is a survey of a forthcoming article on standard differential geometry. First several notions are defined: energy functional, moving frame, vector field, vortices. The main result is \(\Gamma\)-convergence theorem in three parts: Compactness, \(\Gamma\)-liminf and \(\Gamma\)-limsup. The proofs are given elsewhere.
