This paper is a continuation of studies conducted by us in Mat. Inst. Steklova 187, 191-215 (1989; Zbl 0715.41047) and Constructive Approximation 8, No. 1, 23-33 (1992; Zbl 0754.41014). The main subject of discussion is best approximations of functions in Sobolev and Nikolskij classes.
