Periodic solutions for the linear integro-differential equation in a Banach space with infinite delay \[ u'(t)=Au(t)+\int_\infty^ta(t-s)Au(s)\,ds+f(t) \] are studied in the periodic Triebel-Lizorkin space \(F^s_{p,q}({\mathbb T},X)\) by applying and extending corresponding multiplier results. It is shown that, if the sequence \(c_k=\int_0^\infty e^{-ikt}a(t)dt\) satisfies the so-called Marcinkiewicz estimate up to order \(3\), then for all \(f\in F^s_{p,q}\) a unique solution \(u\in F^{s+1}_{p,q}\) (in particular, \(u'\in F^s_{p,q}\)) with \(Au\in F^s_{p,q}\) exists if and only if the numbers \(b_k=ik/(1+c_k)\) belong to the resolvent set of \(A\) and \((b_kR(b_k,A))_{k=-\infty}^\infty\) is bounded. If \(p,q>1\), the Marcinkiewicz estimate is needed only up to order \(2\). The result extends analogous results for Besov spaces of \textit{V. Keyantuo} and \textit{C. Lizama} [J. Lond. Math. Soc., II. Ser. 69, No.~3, 737--750 (2004; Zbl 1053.45008)], and for equations without delay of \textit{W. Arendt} and \textit{S. Bu} [Proc. Edinb. Math. Soc., II. Ser. 47, 15--33 (2004; Zbl 1083.42009)] and of \textit{S. Bu} and \textit{J. Kim} [Acta Math. Sin., Engl. Ser. 21, No.~5, 1049--1056 (2005; Zbl 1130.42007)].
