The main goal of this paper is to study the problem of electromagnetic scattering by a trap-like ideally conducting surface that is the boundary of a bounded domain with a small hole connecting the interior and the exterior of the resonator. For the electromagnetic resonator, the author proves the existence of poles, discusses the boundary value problems in unbounded domains and studies the convergence of solutions with respect to a small parameter.
