The author describes the effect of half-wave linear rectification on frequency-modulated (FM) and quasi-FM sinusoids and compares his results with the effect of half-wave linear rectification on an amplitude-modulated (AM) sinusoid considered by himself [Appl. Math. Comput. 62, No. 1, 61-79 (1994; Zbl 0793.92020)]. As main result it follows that half-wave linear rectification produces different power spectra in the FM and AM case as well as in the quasi-FM and AM case.
