The group manifold quantization theory previously proposed by \textit{V. Aldaya} and \textit{J. A. de Azcarraga} [J. Math. Phys. 23, 1297-1305 (1982; Zbl 0502.58018); Fortschr. Phys. 35, 437-473 (1987)] is generalized in this paper in two respects. Firstly, the quantum group \(\tilde G\) is now a (real) Lie group which is no more necessarily connected. Secondly, the structure group of \(\tilde G,\) when this is viewed as a principal bundle, is not required to be U(1) (or R), but it is an arbitrary Lie group with U(1) (or R) as a subgroup.
