There are reasons to assume that System A of Babylonian Planetary Theory was invented under Dareios I, i.e., between 522 and 468 B.C. This conclusion is based upon an analysis of a set of planetary tables published by \textit{A. Aaboe} and \textit{A. Sachs} [J. Cuneif. Stud. 20, 1--33 (1966; \url{doi:10.2307/3515936})].
