The paper deals with a boundary element formulation for problems in small-strain elastoplasticity using the concept of consistent tangent operator (CTO). The implicit BEM solution scheme is shortly described. The main attention is devoted to hypersingular boundary strain computation. The authors present a detailed derivation of regularized integral equations for the computation of displacement gradients in both two- and three-dimensional problems. This version of BEM requires domain discretization only in the plastic zone. Numerical results are presented for stresses in loaded structures.
