Let \(G(s,f)\) denote the twisted tensor \(L\)-function attached to a holomorphic cusp form \(f\) over an imaginary quadratic field \(K\). The author proves a rationality result (Theorem 1): there is a period \(\Omega_j(f)\) such that \(\frac {G(j,f)} {\Omega_j(f)}\in E\), for a finite set of integers \(j\) depending on the weight of \(f\). Here \(E\) is a finite extension of the field \(\mathbb{Q}(f)\) generated by the Fourier coefficients of \(f\), and \(\Omega_j(f)\) is the product of a fixed constant \(\Omega(f)\), a power of \(2\pi i\), and a certain Gauss sum. The result can be interpreted in the framework of Deligne's conjectures on motivic \(L\)-functions (Section 4). The main ingredients in the proof are: realization of \(f\) as a harmonic differential form on the quotient of a certain hyperbolic 3-dimensional space (Section 5) and the Rankin-Selberg method (Section 6).
