Auf sehr sinnreiche Art wird hergeleitet: \[ \int_{0}^{x} e^{-u^2}du = \tfrac 12 \sqrt{\pi} \sqrt{1 - \varTheta e^{-xx}}, \] wo \(0 < \varTheta <1\); hieraus folgt der bekannte Wert für \(x = \infty\).
