The author describes the standard apparatus of integral manifolds theory for systems of singularly perturbed ODE as applied to investigate an inverse problem for a chemical kinetics model. A simple example of a system with polynomial the right-hand side of the slow equations is considered to illustrate the solution of the inverse problem when the small parameter is equal to zero.
