Let \(R\) be a commutative ring with identity and \(H_R\) be the set of sequences with terms in \(R\). Then \(H_R\) can be equipped with many structures of rings. The sum is componentwise. But the product may be for example the binomial convolution or the operation induced by composition of exponential generating functions. The authors investigate the description of the inverses of invertible elements of \(H_R\) for these two operations. They consider also the Hurwitz series ring \(H_R[[t]]\) with coefficients in \(R\) and its automorphisms. They prove that some classical transforms, such as Stirling transform, are examples of automorphisms of \(H_R[[t]]\).
