Continuing his work in part I [review above] where the author discussed an inversion formula for the Laplace transform of tempered distributions, with support in the octant, the author obtains, in the present paper, an inversion formula for the Laplace transform of tempered distributions with support in the upper light cone \[ \bar V_+^{(d+1)}=\{(x_ 0,x)\in R^{d+1};x_ o>| x| \}. \] The space of such generalized functions is denoted by \({\mathcal S}'(\bar V_+^{(d+1)})\). Since, in the two dimensional case, the light cone \(\bar V{}_+^{(2)}\) is the two-dimensional octant turned through \(45^ o\), the author observes that, as in the one-dimensional case (the paper cited above), that a function F(z) which is holomorphic in the tube \(R^ 2+iV_+^{(2)}\) is the Laplace transform F(z), \(F(z)=(f(p),\exp \{i(p_ 0z_ 0-p_ 1z_ 1)\})\) of some generalized function \(f\in {\mathcal S}'(\bar V_+^{(2)})\) if and only if it satisfies \[ | F(x+iy)| \leq c(1+| z|)^ n(y,y)^{-q} \] where \((y,y)=y^ 2_ 0-y^ 2_ 1\) and n, q are positive integers. The inversion formulas for the Laplace transform of generalized functions whose supports are in four-dimensional light cone and odd-dimensional light cone, as particular cases, are also discussed. Three theorems and a fourth theorem with three lemmas are proved in the paper.
