Symmetric association schemes of rank 5, containing a nontrivial parabolic \(E\), such that the scheme is not a wreath product modulo \(E\) are considered. They consist of three different classes (depending on value of rank and corank \(E\)). The main of them (rank 3, corank 2) contains several examples, associated with interesting groups (\(O^+_8(q)\) (triality schemes), \(L_3(4)\), \(U_6(2)\), \(U_3(5)\)). Problems of characterization on the level of parameters of the triality schemes and flag-transitivity schemes are investigated.
