In this paper under review, the authors study the regularity of solutions for the fully nonlinear parabolic thin obstacle problem. More precisely, given an obstacle \(\phi: Q_1\cap \{x_n=0\}\rightarrow \mathbb{R}\), let \(u\) be a viscosity solution to the problem \begin{align*} \begin{cases} F(D^2u)-\partial_t u =0 &\text{ in } Q_1\setminus \{u=\phi\},\\ F(D^2u)-\partial_t u \leq 0& \text{ in } Q_1,\\ u\geq \phi &\text{ on } Q_1\cap \{x_n=0\}, \end{cases} \end{align*} where \(F\) is convex, uniformly elliptic and with \(F(0)=0\). The authors show that if \(\partial_t u\) is locally bounded from above and if the obstacle is sufficiently regular, then the solution is in the parabolic Hölder class \(H^{1+\alpha}_{\text{loc}}\) for some \(\alpha\in (0,1)\) from both sides of the obstacle. This result extends that in [\textit{G. Chatzigeorgiou}, Commun. Contemp. Math. 24, No. 3, 22 p. (2022; Zbl 1487.35150)] in two ways: Firstly, the result is purely local and does not rely on the boundary data (i.e. the authors do not assume that the contact set \(\{u=\phi\}\) is compactly contained in \(Q_1\cap \{x_n=0\}\)). Secondly, the authors consider non-symmetric solutions with operators not necessarily satisfying any symmetry assumptions.
