A uniqueness theorem for the two-dimensional generalized Korteweg de- Vries equation (Q1176171): Difference between revisions

Using elementary techniques we prove that the solution, which is periodic in both \(x\) and \(y\), to the two-dimensional generalized KdV equation is unique. A theorem of continuous dependence of the solutions on the initial data is established. Some estimates of the solutions are also included.
