In this triangle-based finite volume method the flux across cell boundaries is approximated by nearest neighbour linear interpolation followed by a slope limiter analogous to those used in one dimension. Although the truncation error is technically less than two, the numerical results presented show an observed order of accuracy between 1.7 and 2.0.
