Assume that, for each \(x\in \mathbb R^n\), we are given a family of open bounded convex subsets of \(\mathbb R^n\), denoted by \(S(x,t)\), \(t>0\), such that \(S(x,t)\subset S(x,t')\) for \(t\leq t'\). Under some technical assumptions, which say, roughly speaking, that the \(S(x,t)\)'s look very much like balls, these sets are called sections. These sections appear in the study of the Monge-Ampère equation by \textit{L. A. Caffarelli} and \textit{C. E. Gutiérrez} [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 348, No. 3, 1075-1092 (1996; Zbl 0858.35034)]. Let \(\mu\) be an infinite Borel measure \(\mu\) on \(\mathbb R^n\) finite on compact sets and satisfying the doubling property, which, in this context, means that there exists \(C>0\) such that, for all \(t>0\) and all \(x\in \mathbb R^n\), \[ \mu(S(x,2t))\leq C\mu(S(x,t)). \] Consider an operator \(H\) given by \[ Hf(x)=\int_{\mathbb R^n}k(x,y)f(y) d\mu(y) \] where the kernel \(k\) satisfies cancellation properties and Hölder regularity conditions with respect to both variables (these conditions are expressed in terms of affine transformations which normalize the sections). It has been proved by \textit{L. A. Caffarelli} and \textit{C. E. Gutiérrez} [in Wavelet theory and harmonic analysis in applied sciences, Applied and Numerical Harmonic Analysis. 3-13 (1997; Zbl 0881.35034)] that \(H\) is \(L^2(\mu)\)-bounded. In the present paper, using classical singular integral techniques [see \textit{R. R. Coifman} and \textit{G. Weiss}, ``Analyse harmonique non-commutative sur certains espaces homogènes. Etude de certaines intégrales singulières'' (1971; Zbl 0224.43006)], the author shows that \(H\) is of weak type \((1,1)\). The main step of the proof is to establish that \(k\) satisfies the Hörmander integral condition.
