The author studies the cyclicity of the origin \(O\) as a critical point of the plane differential system \[ \dot x={\partial H\over\partial y}+ \varepsilon f(x,y,a),\quad \dot y= -{\partial H\over\partial x}+ \varepsilon g(x,y,a), \] \(\varepsilon\) is a scalar parameter and \(a\) is a vector parameter. Sufficient conditions to determine the cyclicity of \(O\) are given, assuming \(f\) and \(g\) to be linearly dependent on \(a\). A theorem is devoted to prove a simpler form of such conditions for the generalized Liénard system \(\dot x= p(y)- \varepsilon F(x,a)\), \(\dot y= -g(x)\).
