Summary: We study the structure of the ergodic limit functions determined in random ergodic theorems. When the \(r\) random parameters are shifted by the \(r_0\)-shift transformation with \(r_0 \in \{1, 2, \dots, r\}\), the major finding is that the (random) ergodic limit functions determined in random ergodic theorems depend essentially only on the \(r - r_0\) random parameters. Some of the results obtained here improve the earlier random ergodic theorems of \textit{C. Ryll-Nardzewski} [``On the ergodic theorems. III: The random ergodic theorem'', Stud. Math. 14, No. 2, 298--301 (1954; \url{doi:10.4064/sm-14-2-298-301})], \textit{S. Gladysz} [Stud. Math. 15, 158--173 (1956; Zbl 0070.14002)], \textit{R. Cairoli} [Bull. Sci. Math., II. Sér. 88, 31--37 (1964; Zbl 0232.60024)], and \textit{T. Yoshimoto} [Z. Wahrscheinlichkeitstheor. Verw. Geb. 30, 149--165 (1974; Zbl 0292.60053)] for positive linear contractions on \(L_1\) and \textit{J. Wos} [Stud. Math. 74, 191--212 (1982; Zbl 0507.47003)] for sub-Markovian operators. Moreover, applications of these results to nonlinear random ergodic theorems for affine operators are also included. Some examples are given for illustrating the relationship between the ergodic limit functions and the random parameters in random ergodic theorems.
