Propagation of anti-plane Stonely waves is investigated in materials with micro structures. It is shown that microstructures offer new features of propagation of interface of two half spaces. By assuming time harmonic solutions, existence of real roots for Stonely frequency equation is proved which is in contrast with the classical elasticity theory. The authors also show that the Stonely waves can be regarded as perturbation to bulk waves that helps to locate the admissible root of the frequency equation.
