The authors generalize classical results on variations of regularity-like properties of group algebras \(KG\) such as in [\textit{V. Gupta}, Acta Math. Hung. 43, 57-61 (1984; Zbl 0535.16015)] to crossed products \(K*G\). A basic characterization provided is as follows: The twisted group algebra \(K_\rho G\) of the torsion group \(G\) over the algebraically closed field \(K\) does not contain nonzero nilpotent elements if and only if \(G\) is abelian, orders of elements of \(G\) are invertible in \(K\) and \(\rho\) is symmetric. Other ring-theoretical properties characterized, similarly intensively studied as being reduced, include (strong, \(n\)-weak) regularity, \(\xi^*\)-, \(\xi N\)-, \(\xi^*N\)-property.
