Let PSH(X) denote the plurisubharmonic functions defined on a neighbourhood of a set \(X\subset {\mathbb{C}}^ n\). The authors prove that if \(\Omega\) is a bounded domain with \(C^ 1\)-boundary then every function in PSH(\(\Omega)\)\(\cap C({\bar \Omega})\) can be approximated uniformly on \({\bar \Omega}\) with functions in PSH(\({\bar \Omega}\))\(\cap C^{\infty}({\bar \Omega})\). If in addition \(\Omega\) is a pseudoconvex domain then every function in PSH(\(\Omega)\)\(\cap C(\Omega)\) can be approximated uniformly on compact sets in \(\Omega\) with functions in PSH(\({\bar \Omega}\))\(\cap C^{\infty}({\bar \Omega})\). At last if \(\Omega\) is a Reinhardt or a tube domain then every function in PSH(\(\Omega)\) is pointwise the limit of a monotonically decreasing sequence of functions in \(PSH(\Omega)\cap C^{\infty}(\Omega)\).
