Let \(E/\mathbb{Q}\) be an elliptic curve over the rationals given by a quasi-minimal Weierstrass form \(y^2=x^3 + ax + b\). Lang's conjecture for \(E/\mathbb{Q}\) states that there is an absolute constant \(C\) such that \[ \# E(\mathbb Z) \leq C^{1 + \text{rank} E(\mathbb Q) }. \] In the following four papers considered are families of elliptic curves \(E\) for which the set \(E(\mathbb Z)\) is completely computed under the assumption of \(\text{rank} E(\mathbb Q)\) being \(1\) or \(2\), and the author of the paper under review improves these four results: [\textit{A. Dujella}, ``A parametric family of elliptic curves'', Acta Arith. 94, No. 1, 87--101 (2000; Zbl 0972.11048), ``Diophantine \(m\)-tuples and elliptic curves'', J. Théor. Nombres Bordx. 13, No. 1, 111--124 (2001; Zbl 1046.11034); \textit{Y. Fujita}, ``The \(D(1)\)-extensions of \(D(-1)\)-triples \(\{1,2,c\}\) and integer points on the attached elliptic curves'', Acta Arith. 128, No. 4, 349--375 (2007; Zbl 1152.11013), ``The Hoggatt-Bergum conjecture on \(D(-1)\)-triples \(\{ F_{2k+1},F_{2k+3},F_{2k+5}\}\) and integer points on the attached elliptic curves'', Rocky Mt. J. Math. 39, No. 6, 1907--1932 (2009; Zbl 1248.11025)]. For example, in Fujita's first paper \(E_k(\mathbb Z)\) is computed under the assumption of \(\text{rank} E_k(\mathbb Q) =2\) where \(E_k\) is given by \[ y^2 = (x+1)(2x+1)(kx+1) \] and \(k\) is a positive integer such that \(\{k-1,2k-1\}\) are perfect squares and \(k-2\) is square-free, and Fujita showed there that his result is still valid for some positive integers \(k\leq 40\) for which the assumption on the rank and the square-free property of \(k-2\) are not satisfied. The author of the paper under review considers the four results mentioned earlier, all of which have some cases of exceptional small \(k\)-values for which the results are not proved, and he proves their results for many of those exceptional \(k\)-values (for which the assumption on Mordell-Weil rank is not satisfied).
