Let \(C\) be a smooth complex projective curve of genus \(g\) and \(P, Q\in C\), \(P\neq Q\). \textit{S. J. Kim} [Arch. Math. 62, No. 1, 73--82 (1994; Zbl 0815.14020)] introduced the notion of Weierstrass semigroup and gap set \(G(P,Q)\) of the pair \((P,Q)\) (see \textit{E. Ballico} and \textit{S. J. Kim} [J. Algebra 199, 455--471 (1998; Zbl 0909.14019)] and \textit{M. Homma} [Arch. Math. 67, 337--348 (1996; Zbl 0869.14015)] for related works for \(n\geq 2\) points). He proved that always \((g^2+3g)/2 \leq \sharp (G(P,Q)) \leq (3g^2+g)/2\). In the paper under review, the author uses holomorphic forms on \(C\times C\setminus \Delta _C\) and Wronskian matrices to prove that \(\sharp (G(P,Q)) = (g^2+3g)/2\) for a general \((P,Q)\in C\times C\).
