If \(\Gamma_y\) is a Teichmüller lattice (i.e., the orbit of a point \(y\) in Teichmüller space under the action of the mapping class group \(\Gamma\)) and \(B_r(x)\) is the ball of radius \(r\) (in the Teichmüller metric) centered at \(x\), then it is a known result [\textit{J. Athreya, A. Bufetov, A. Eskin, M. Mirzakhani}, Lattice point asymptotics and volume growth on Teichmuller space, \url{arxiv:math.DS/0610715}] that the number of lattice points in \(\Gamma_y\cap B_r(x)\) is asymptotically \((r\to\infty)\,\Lambda(x)\Lambda(y) he^{hr}\), where \(\Lambda\) is the Hubbard-Mazur function and \(h\) is the topological entropy of the Teichmüller geodesic flow. The current paper uses this result in conjunction with previous work of the author's to show that the number of lattice points corresponding to pseudo-Anosov elements in the ball of radius \(r\) is asymptotically the same as the total number of lattice pints in the same ball. In addition, the author shows that if \(JR\) is a subset of the mapping class group whose elements have an upper bound on their translation length in the complex of curves, then the proportion of lattice points in the ball of radius \(r\) that lie in \(R\) goes to zero as \(r\to\infty\).
