A full ordering of a near-field \(N\) is given by a positive cone \(P\) for the additive group \((N,+)\) such that \(ac-bc\in P\) whenever \(a-b, c\in P\) [cf. \textit{W. Kerby}, ibid. 32, 135--146 (1968; Zbl 0192.37301), ibid. 33, 4--16 (1969; Zbl 0176.17402)]. The author characterizes the subsets of \(N\) which are contained in a full ordering of \(N\), thus extending parts of the theory of formally real (skew) fields to near-fields. Furthermore she gives upper and lower bounds for the number of full orderings of a near-field.
