The following equation \(u_ t={1\over2}(u^{\alpha})_{xx}\), \(t>0\), \(x\in R\), is called a porous medium equation for given \(\alpha >1\). In this paper we construct a Markov process \(X=\{X(t)\}\) such that the distribution P(X(t)\(\in dx)\) has a density u which is a weak solution of a porous medium equation.
