    Die Invariante \(j(\tau)\) der elliptischen Modulfunktionen hat die bemerkenswerte Eigenschaft, daß der Wert in einer imaginär-quadratischen Irratonalität \(\tau\) der Diskriminante \(d\) eine algebraische Zahl vom Grad \(h(d)\) über \(\mathbb{Q}\) ist, wobei \(h(d)\) eine Klassenzahl ist. Nimmt man zwei zueinander prime Diskriminanten \(d_1, d_2\), so ist für \(d_1,d_2<-4\) \[ J(d_1,d_2)=\prod\bigl(j (\tau_1)-j (\tau_2)\bigr)^{4/w_1w_2}, \] worin das Produkt über \(\tau_1,\tau_2 \bmod\mathrm{SL}(2,\mathbb Z)\), \(\tau_j\) zur Diskriminante \(d_j\), gebildet wird, und \(w_1, w_2\) Einheitswurzelzahlen sind, die Absolutnorm der algebraischen Zahl \(j (\tau_1)-j(\tau_2)\) vom Grad \(h(d_1)h(d_2)\), also eine ganzrationale Zahl. \textit{B. H. Gross} und \textit{D. B. Zagier} haben [J. Reine Angew. Math. 355, 191--220 (1985; Zbl 0545.10015)] die Primfaktorzerlegung von \(J(d_1,d_2)^2\) auf zwei Weisen bestimmt. Die Verf. entwickeln in der vorliegenden Arbeit ein Analogon der zweiten, der analytischen, Methode für die Hilbertsche Modulgruppe. Die Ausgangsgruppe ist die Hilbertsche Modulgruppe \(\Gamma\) zum Körper \(F=\mathbb Q (\sqrt p)\) mit einer Primzahl \(p\equiv\bmod 4\). Die quadratischen Irrationalitäten kommen aus einer nicht-biquadratischen, total-imaginären Erweiterung \(K=F(\sqrt\Delta)\) von \(F\). An Stelle von \(j(\tau)\) tritt der Quotient \(\psi\) zweier holomorpher Hilbertscher Modulformen gleichen Gewichts mit ganzrationalen Fonrierkoeffizienten mit g.g.T. 1, wobei Nullstellen und Pole von \(\Psi\) ausschließlich in Hirzebruch-Zagier-Divisoren (also in den Analoga der Diagonale des Produkts zweier oberer Halbebenen, auf dem \(\Gamma\) operiert) liegen. Die Hilfsmittel aus der Arbeit von Gross und Zagier, nämlich automorphe Greensche Funktionen und spezielle Eisensteinreihen, tauchen in verallgemeinerter Form auch hier wieder auf, zusätzlich kommen Borcherds-Produkte hinzu. Explizite Beispiele werden für \(p=5\) und \(p=13\) gegeben.
