This paper is concerned with the study of stability conditions for the finite-difference time-domain method on nonuniform tensor product grids. Different estimates for the stability conditions are established in 1D, 2D and 3D. All quantities appearing in the upper bounds for the time step of these estimates are known as soon as the configuration has been specified and discretized. Numerical results complete the abstract results of this paper.
