The author studies models of directed random polymers interacting with a defect line subjected to pinning/ depinning phase transition. At the investigation of their critical properties a finite-size upper bound on the order parameter near the critical point is obtained and a new inequality connecting free energy and describing extreme fluctuations annealed exponent is derived. The obtained estimates and bounds have a very natural generalization to the case of random copolymers at a selective interface between two solvents, which also show a localization/delocalization transition. In this case the relevant order parameter is not the contact fraction but the fraction of monomers in the unfavorable solvent.
