By deriving and using suitable a priori estimates the authors study growth properties of solutions of the equations of micropolar elasticity for exterior domains, imposing no a priori assumptions on the behavior of solutions at infinity. These a priori estimates are derived with certain sign, growth, and form definiteness assumptions on various coefficients of the equations and are used to derive explicit uniqueness, stability and domain of influence results.
