The Hamiltonian of the trigonometric Calogero-Sutherland model can be reduced to a linear combination of the first and second order differential operators with respect to the variables that are characters of the irreducible representations of the corresponding Lie algebra. Here the coefficients in the front of the above mentioned operators are calculated in explicit form for the case of the exceptional Lie algebra \(E_7\). Besides, some second order functions are identified as low-lying eigenfunctions of the model.
